Lexygius Calip

 

A graduate of the Technological University of the Philippines in fine arts, Lexygius Calip and his work have been showcased throughout the motherland and the U.S. in galleries such as the Avellana Art Gallery in Manila, Red Mill Gallery in the Vermont Studio Center, Kulay Diwa Art Gallery in Manila and the Manila Museum.

He has been nominated and won several art awards including the Freeman Fellowship Awardee, Honourable Mention for four consecutive times at the Philip Morris Asean Art Awards, Ateneo Art Awards Nominee 2004, second prize winner at the Diwa ng Sining National Art Competition 1998 in Manila. Calip has conducted art lectures at the College of Fine Arts  U.P. He was also an art workshop facilitator at Johnson Elementary School in Johnson, Vermont and a juror/panelist for thesis deliberations of BFA painting majors at F.E.U. Manila from 2005 - 2006. His work has been published in Real Living Magazine, Lifestyle Asia Magazine, Earth+Style Myhome Magazine and BluePrint Magazine Architecture and Design Sourcebook.
